On the southern flanks of the Jeker valley there were already vineyards in the Middle Ages. After the cultivation of grapes disappeared from our country around 1800, Frits Bosch planted a vineyard on Slavante for the first time in 1967. Later the large vineyards of the Apostelhoeve, the Hoeve Nekum and the vineyard at Chateau Neercanne followed in the Jeker valley.
