The Koepelkerk - Dome Church - was built a hundred years ago after a design by Jos Ritzen and Alphons Boosten. The church has a striking dome, consisting of a double-walled construction of prestressed concrete. The interior contains art by Charles Eyck, Henri Jonas, Gène Eggen, Herman Hollewand and many others.
The Lourdes Church was designed by the well-known architect Frits Peutz and commissioned in 1936, in the midst of the 1930s' crisis. Frits Peutz used local materials such as marl and Kunrader lime, making his churches well-suited to traditional Limburg architecture. The building has stained glass windows by Limburg artists such as Jos Eggen, Eugene Laudy, Joep Nicolas, Frans Slijpen and Harrie Schoonbrood.
